‘Tis the season for giving and that’s the goal of this year’s onbikes Winter Wonder Ride set for Saturday, December 7th.
The Winter Wonder Ride is a family-friendly slow ride through downtown Pensacola that serves a dual purpose of raising funds to provide bicycles and helmets free of charge for local kids in need. Participants can register online here.
This year’s ride will conclude with a post-ride celebration that includes live music, drinks and food.
Over the past eight years the volunteer group, founded by Walker Wilson, has given more than 4,000 new bikes to children throughout the greater Pensacola community. Funds raised from Winter Wonder Rides are used for bulk purchases of a large number of bikes that are assembled by volunteers during a Bike Build in November.
The 2024 Winter Wonder Ride starts at 11 a.m. at Museum Plaza December 7th and concludes there at Noon where you’ll be able to enjoy music and purchase delicious eats and drinks from local food trucks (you will receive 2 complimentary drink tickets).
