‘Tis the season for giving and that’s the goal of this year’s onbikes Winter Wonder Ride set for Saturday, December 7th.
The onbikes Winter Wonder Ride is a family-friendly slow ride (a little less than 5 miles) through downtown Pensacola that serves a dual purpose of raising funds to provide bicycles and helmets free of charge for local kids in need. Participants can register online at our onbikes Winter Wonder Ride Eventbrite page beginning October 27th for $35.00. As of December 1st, ticket prices go up to $45.00.
This year’s ride will conclude with a Post-Ride Celebration where you’ll be able to enjoy music and purchase delicious eats and drinks from local food trucks (you will receive 2 complimentary drink tickets).
Over the past eight years the volunteer group, founded by Walker Wilson, has given more than 3,000 new bikes to children throughout the greater Pensacola community. Funds raised from onbikes Winter Wonder Rides are used for bulk purchases of a large number of bikes that are assembled by volunteers during a Bike Build in November.
The onbikes 2024 Winter Wonder Ride starts at 11 a.m. at Museum Plaza on December 7th and concludes there at 2pm where riders can enjoy food, drinks and live music at the Post-Ride Celebration.
